Seven missing as boat capsizes in Gomti

Lucknow, Oct 9 (IANS) Seven people on a ferry went missing after it capsized in the Gomti river in Uttar Pradesh's Sultanpur district, the police said Thursday.

 

The incident took place Wednesday night in Savsukhpur village, district police chief D.C. Mishra told IANS over the telephone. Sultanpur is nearly 130 km from Lucknow.

 

 

Of the 13 people on the boat, six swam to the shore, he added.
