New Delhi, Jan 3 (ANI): Youth 4 Democracy has decided to fight against inaction of Gurgaon police, who shooed away the unruly crowd on New Year's eve, instead of taking action against them for molesting at least a dozen women in the presence of cops on the busy M G Road.
The mayhem caused by a bunch of revellers outside Sahara Mall on Saturday night. The policed has so filed only one FIR against unknown persons for obstructing public servants from carrying out their duty.
Eyewitnesses said the bid to abduct and molest only one woman, which has been reported till now, was just the tip of the ice-berg. They recalled many similar horror stories.
Youth 4 Democracy (Y4D), an organization committed to fighting for peoples' rights, is shocked by the incident of molestation of a woman in full glare of police, administration and so-called civilized society on the eve of 2012 in front of a mall in NCR (Gurgaon).
At an emergency meeting of its core team, Y4D decided to fight the injustice by taking the battle to people.
To this end, the organization has decided to send a fact finding mission to Gurgaon (Sahara and Metropolitan malls and the police station covering the area) to find out details about the case of molestation of a lady by more than a dozen youths in full view of police.
Y4D has, therefore, decided to take up the case, as the police did not act as per their mandate is more shocking. (ANI)
