Amritsar, Jan 1 (ANI): Supporters of veteran social activist and anti-graft crusader, Anna Hazare today, showed black flags to Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh as he came out of the Golden Temple after offering prayers.
The supporters shouted anti-government and pro-Anna slogans and demanded that the Prime Minister should get an effective Lokpal Bill or resign from his post.We appeal to the Prime Minister to get a strong and effective Lokpal Bill passed or resign from his post," said Anna supporter, Pramod Chandra Bali.r. Singh, who along with his wife Gursharan had arrived at Amritsar on Saturday, offered prayers at the Golden Temple, today morning.
He and his wife were also presented a 'Saropa' by the priest of the shrine.
Dr. Singh had last visited the Golden Temple in March 2009, just a few weeks after his coronary bypass surgery in New Delhi. (ANI)
