Islamabad, Dec 26(ANI): British boxing champ Amir Khan has said Pakistan has amazing talent in boxing but it needs training and suitable opportunities to yield results.
Khan described the Benazir Bhutto International Boxing Championship as a milestone for boxing's future in the country.
He was speaking on his arrival in Islamabad today.akistan Boxing Federation (PBF) chief Doda Khan Bhutto and Secretary General Akram Khan, besides Khan's relatives and fans, were present at the Beanzir Bhutto International airport to receive him.
Khan said he has filed an appeal against the split decision defeat to American counterpart Lamont Peterson in the World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Federation (IBF) tournaments, and added that the case's verdict would be delivered next year.
Khan will visit his ancestral house and meet friends and relatives in Lahore during his stay in the country. (ANI)
