Lahore, Dec 22(ANI): Pakistan's Punjab Assembly has passed a resolution with majority calling for Balochistan to resolve its people's problems and demanding killers of former governor Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti be brought to book.
The Opposition slammed the move as biased alleging it was not consulted before the resolution was presented in the Assembly.
Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah moved the resolution on behalf of Pakistan Muslim League- N party saying that the provinces should be conferred their due rights, the Pakistan Today reports.
Both Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) had earlier opposed PML-N attitude on the resolution.
PPP-backed legislators Ahsan ul Haq Naulatia, Ashraf Sohna and Fauzia Behram said no citizen would come forward to support the PML-N's 'solo flight' for the resolution.
PML-Q leader Zaheeruddin and Seemal Kamran said PML-N had perpetrated another injustice to the Baloch people by moving the resolution. (ANI)
