Mirpur, Dec 1(ANI): The first One- Day International (ODI) of the three match Pakistan- Bangladesh series will take place at Mirpur today.
This is the first Pakistan - Bangladesh ODI match since June 2010, when the teams met in the Asia Cup in Dambulla.
Bangladesh ODI record has improved over the past few years, The Daily Times reports
It had whitewashed New Zealand 4-0 recently and defeated England at the 2011 World Cup at the home soil.
Bangladesh will heavily rely on Shakib Al Hasan and vice-captain Mahmudullah to turn the match in their favour.
Pakistan, however, has formidable bowlers who can be effective in Bangladeshi conditions.
Though Bangladesh is currently playing their best game, it would be a challenge for them to surprise the guest in the three-match series.
Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik would be under tremendous pressure since he has failed to fire in the past few innings.
Bangladesh has lost 25 out of the 26 games against Pakistan.
