Huge rush in India International Trade Fair 2011

The Delhi Metro Rail and the Pragati Maidan has been experiencing huge rush due to ongoing 31st edition of International Trade Fair opened from 19th November 2011 for the public. Even on its fifth day, huge crowd is coming from all the directions of Delhi despite being a working day. Besides Delhiites, people belongings to all age and sex were coming from the nearby states to enjoy the exhibition of India's traditional items and cultural programmes.

'Indian Handicrafts: The Magic of Gifted Hands' is the theme of this edition of India International Trade Fair (IITF) ? 2011 and Bihar and Odisha are the focus state of this edition. This time International Trade Promotional Organization (ITPO) has not knot the tie with any foreign country, but two Indian states - Jharkhand and West Bengal.

The handicrafts of Chhatishgarh, Jharkhand, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan are viewing and these states are attracting huge crowds. Amongst the foreign stalls, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and African country Ghana are amongst the major attraction because of their genuine, versatile and fascinating handicrafts.

The 'Dog Show: Indian Silent Warrior' of the Indian defence pavilion and daily ongoing ?cultural show? is the prime attraction of this IITF-2011.

Besides states' pavilion, some ministry of central government and independent central organisations have also exhibited this time. These includes Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Health and Family Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Ministry of Power, Ministry of Water Resources and Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution etc..

Several banks including Reserve bank of India and Punjab National Bank have also established stalls in the exhibition.

Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCo) and National Small Scale Industrial Corporation (NSIC) have displayed their pavilion for disabled people and the people who want to begin their business respectively.
