ANI opens media school in New Delhi

New Delhi, Wed, 23 Nov 2011 ANI

New Delhi, Nov. 23 (ANI): In view of the growing demand of competent media professionals in the ever-expanding media industry, Asian News International (ANI), India's only multimedia news agency, has recently opened ANI School of Media Studies in New Delhi.

The school has been established with the objective of providing practical training in various streams of media such as print, online, broadcast and photo, apart from technical courses like audio-video editing. The school's endeavour is to give trained and talented professionals to the industry.

"Why budding journalists have to go through the rigours of training even after completing their professional education? The institutes and universities presumably are not imparting crucial practical training to students and, as a result, students lack the basic skills of reporting news with clarity of thought and language," said Surinder Gosain, Director of ANI School of Media Studies in a statement.

"We have set up such infrastructure and facilities to train our students in the environs of a TV, radio and print media house," Gosain added.

Currently, the school is offering three-month certificate courses in nine media streams. The details are available on its website www.ani-sms.com.

The school has a perfect mix of academicians and working professionals as its faculty. In addition, it will be organising special lectures by eminent media personalities to share their professional experiences with the students.
