Male (Maldives), Nov 12(ANI): Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh today extended an invitation to Maldives President Mohamed Nasheed to pay a visit to India.
"The invitation was accepted and it was agreed that the dates of the visit would be finalized through diplomatic channels," a joint statement issued on the occasion of Dr. Singh's bilateral visit to Maldives said.
Dr. Singh had paid a two-day bilateral visit to Maldives at the invitation of Nasheed.
He was accompanied by his wife Gursharan Kaur and an official delegation. (ANI)
