Coimbatore, Nov 1 (ANI): Children of a private school here dressed up in funny and ghostly attire celebrate Halloween on Monday.
Sagnik, a participant, said that though he had heard about Halloween, this was the first time he was celebrating it. Running out of superlatives to describe the occasion, he said the feeling was superb and described the festival as awesome.
"I've heard about Halloween you see but I have never celebrated it. This is the first time I am celebrating and it's so superb. It is awesome. I am dressed up as a Dracula and he is dressed up as a skeleton and today we had trick or treating and we had this photo-session," said Sagnik.
Gokul said students were happy to be dressed as fairies, angels, ghosts and other mythical creatures.
"This is really wonderful and we all are dressed so wonderful like ghosts, angels, fairies, pirates and all this," said Gokul.
Halloween is observed around the world on October 31 each year.
The holiday is connected to seasonal change, the harvest and honouring the dead. (ANI)
