Islamabad, Oct 27(ANI): Pakistan cricketer Sohail Tanveer's first wife, Nosheen Agha, has filed an application against him at the Shalimar police station in Islamabad, seeking the registration of an FIR against the left-arm pacer for threatening her.
In her application, Nosheen said that Tanveer and his two friends barged into her apartment in F/11 Markaz, and threatened to kidnap her six-month-old daughter, Shah Bano, if she continued talking to the media against his second marriage.
"He (Tanveer) even gave me life threats. After second marriage, he has stopped financial support to me for our daughter," Pakistan Today quoted Nosheen, as having claimed in her application.
Friction between the two intensified when Tanveer contracted a second marriage on October 10, 2011, without consulting Nosheen.
According to the report, a senior police officer said that there was no chance of registering an FIR against Tanveer because it was a family matter. (ANI)
