Thane (Maharashtra), Oct 21 (ANI): Maharashtra Home Minister R.R Patil has said that appropriate security measures would be provided to veteran anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare.
"This is true that the issue of Anna's security would be appropriately decided by senior officials of the state police," Patil told the media here.
"Whenever Anna Hazare was given security, he always said a no to the facility, but today the circumstances have changed," added Patil.
Patil statement comes after team Anna members Prashant Bhushan and Arvind Kejriwal being attacked.
While Bhushan, a prominent lawyer, was assaulted recently in his chamber inside the Supreme Court for his controversial remarks on Kashmir, Kejriwal was attacked with a slipper while going to address a rally in Lucknow. (ANI)
