Rajouri, Oct 14 (ANI): 24 schoolgirls belonging to diverse sections of the society and hailing from of Rajouri, Poonch and Nowshera have embarked on a tour of different places in India.
The tour ahs been organized by the Indian Army for the girls residing in the border districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking to the girls Major General K.H. Singh General Commanding Officer (GOC) 25 Infantry division said: "This is possibly the first time that a tour comprising all girls is going outside Jammu and Kashmir at far distances. I have spoken to the girls, I am very happy by their spirit, enthusiasm to see other places of India and I wish they bring back the message that yes India is a great country".
While interacting with the media persons Singh added that the aim of organizing such a tour was to provide these girls with an opportunity to explore the nation.
