London, Oct 7 (ANI): Television producer and entrepreneur, Simon Cowell's former flame Sinitta has come clean of why she cheated on the TV star with then pop heart-throb David Essex.
The 'X-Factor's' ex-girlfriend cheated with Essex while she was still dating 25-year-old Simon.
Sinitta was 16, when she secretly had an affair with the biggest British pop star of the time, who was 37 at that time, more than twice her age.
She says that theirs was a story of passion, love, infidelity and intense jealousy.
"I'd had a crush on him all my life," Sinitta said.
"He said I was "a keeper", and gave me a Russian wedding ring from Cartier for my birthday. For me, it was like I was Mrs David Essex. I was David's girl, David's baby," she added.
And although she had been 'madly in love' with Cowell, she dumped him.
'I didn't fall out of love with Simon, but I'd just met my idol. If Simon had let me have a cheat card in those days, I'd have played it for David Essex," the Mutiny! Star said. (ANI)
