New Delhi, Oct 4 (ANI): Freedom fighter and former Bihar Chief Minister Bhagwat Jha Azad passed away here on Tuesday. He was 89.
Azad, who was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), had been on life support system for the past three days.
His last rites will be performed at Lodhi Road crematorium this afternoon.
He is survived by three sons, including former cricketer and BJP MP Kirti Azad.
Azad was the Chief Minister of Bihar and a Lok Sabha MP. He was Chief Minister from 14 February 1988 to 10 March 1989. He represented the Bhagalpur seat in the Lok Sabha six times. (ANI)
