Paris, Sept 23 (ANI): Former International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn is willing to meet face-to-face with the French writer who accused him of attempted rape.
Strauss-Kahn's lawyers said the former International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief was "ready" for a face-to-face meeting with Tristane Banon, and "had let the service in charge of this case know that he was at its disposal," the New York Post quoted the report, as saying. Banon had earlier said that she wanted to meet him face-to-face to see if he can "look me in the eyes" and deny her claims.
"The police asked me if I would accept the confrontation, I said of course I would," the paper quoted Tristane Banon, as saying.
"I want him to be in front of me and for him to look me in the eyes and tell me this is all in my imagination. I'd like to see him tell me that," she added.
Thirty-two-year-old Banon had alleged that Strauss-Kahn lured her to a Paris flat in 2003 and attacked her. Strauss-Kahn has described her claims as imaginary and slanderous, and brought a defamation suit against her.
Banon, who is organizing a rally of feminists on Saturday in Paris, repeated her allegation that she was contacted by other women who claimed to be his victims.
Strauss-Kahn was arrested in New York in May after hotel maid Nafissatou Diallo alleged that he had assaulted her. New York prosecutors eventually dropped the charges after doubts emerged over her credibility. (ANI)
