Srinagar, Sep 20 (ANI): Former Prime Minister of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) and leader of ruling Pakistan People's Party Barrister Sultan Mehmood Choudhary, who is on a three-day personal visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday met separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani at his residence at Hyderpora in Srinagar.
After the meeting, Geelani told mediapersons that he informed Sultan Mehmood Choudhary about the recent discovery of unmarked graves and also the human right violations in the Kashmir valley.
"I wholeheartedly welcome my guest. I told him that the improvement in conditions in Pakistan is a ray of hope for us. I told him that Jammu and Kashmir has so far given around six lakh lives to claim its birthright. We just want our birthright and basic right," said Geelani.
Meanwhile, Sultan Mehmood Choudhary said that he has come to Jammu and Kashmir on a personal visit and it was his desire to meet Geelani.
He also said that they would raise the issue of unmarked graves in internal forums.
Sultan Mehmood Choudhary had met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah last evening. (ANI)
