Ranchi, Sep 19 (ANI): Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda on Monday visited victims of a bus accident, which took place near Bundu, about 50 km from Ranchi.
Talking to reporters here, Munda said: "Many people got injured in this incident. I have come here to see the injured and to look after their treatment facilities. It was a front collision. It was a big incident."
"Families of deceased will get Rs. two lakh as compensation and injured will get good treatment," he added.
"I was sleeping when this incident took place. Suddenly a loud sound took place and I saw a lot of injured decrying. I tried to save some victims and to take out bodies of the deceased," said Ram Davey Singh, a passenger.
At least twenty people were killed and twenty five others were injured when the bus in which they were travelling collided with an iron-laden trailer near Bundu.
The bus was going to Arah in Bihar from Jamshedpur when it collided with the trailer around 2.30 a.m., killing 13 people on the spot and seven in hospitals. (ANI)
