Agra, Sep 18(ANI): The Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday announced compensation to the victims of Saturday's low-intensity blast at a hospital in Agra.
Interacting with mediapersons here, Uttar Pradesh Panchayati Raj Minister Swami Prasad Maurya said: "Our chief minister has announced a help of worth 100,000 rupees to the people injured in the blast. The culprits behind the attack will be punished. This is what the state government has decided."
Meanwhile, Brij Lal, Additional Director General (ADG), Uttar Pradesh, said that 50,000 rupees would be awarded to the person who would give any information about the culprits behind the attack.
"In this, we have found six batteries of 9 bolt. The batteries were joined with the wire in a series with the explosive attached with a filament; the filament could be anything, they on the filament and with heating effects, the explosive turned into a blast. Four people are injured in the blast," Lal said.
He also added that it was too early to talk about the nature of the blast
According to reports, at least eight people have been injured in the blast. (ANI)
