London, Sept 16 (ANI): Hollywood stars Jennifer Hudson and Christina Hendricks were honoured for their charity work at the 2011 Women Doing Good Awards.
They were recognised as the guests of honour at the glitzy New York ceremony hosted by bosses at U.S. magazine Self on September 13, the Daily Express reported.
Singer/actress Hudson was recognised for the Julian D. King Gift Foundation, a charity that hands out toys to needy children.
She founded the organisation in memory of her seven-year-old nephew Julian after he was murdered in 2008.
Meanwhile, 'Mad Men' beauty Hendricks was praised for her fundraising for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which helps sick children see their dreams come true.
The 4th Annual Women Doing Good Awards celebrated women who are changing the world for the better. (ANI)
