Gemma Arterton starred in blockbusters to gain control over her career

Washington, Sept 12 (ANI): Gemma Arterton has revealed that she starred in big-budget blockbusters so that she could gain control of her career.

According to InStyle magazine, the 25-year-old actress said that she was able to raise herself to the level where she is today, that enables her to pick different types of roles by appearing in movies like 'Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time' and 'Clash of the Titans'.

"I've had to do big commercial movies to get to the point where I now have control," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

"The films I'm doing next year are totally what I want to do, but I wouldn't be able to do them if I hadn't done the other things. You have to take that with a pinch of salt," she added. (ANI)
