Anne Hathaway's jailed ex-lover opens up how she broke his heart

London, Sept 4 (ANI): Anne Hathaway's jailed ex lover Rafaello Follieri has for the first time opened up about how the Hollywood sweetheart broke his heart and didn't even tell him that their five-year relationship was over.

Melanie Bonvicino, the best friend of Follieri, told that he is still shocked that Hathaway left him when he needed her the most.

"They were talking about the future and he hoped one day they would marry and have children. Then when he was arrested she just cut him off. He never heard from her again," the Mirror quoted him as saying.

"He's hurt and disillusioned... he tried calling her constantly, he was so shocked. He couldn't believe she could do that. He really cared about that girl but she dropped him when he needed her," he added.

The 32-year old convicted con man is still serving a four-and-a-half-year term for money laundering. (ANI)
