London, Aug 31 (ANI): It's official. George Clooney will not be seen in director pal Steven Soderbergh's upcoming project "The Man from U.N.C.L.E."

According to Deadline.com, Warner Bros was planning to begin the production on the film in February 2012, but the 50-year-old actor has dropped out of his lead role, reports the Daily Express.

Soderbergh and Clooney have worked together numerous times over the past decade. Clooney starred in all three 'Oceans Eleven' films, as well as 'Out of Sight' and 'Solaris'.

It is unclear why Clooney has quit the film, which is based on the hit 1960s spy drama TV series. (ANI)
