London, August 5 (ANI): Rowan Atkinson had a close encounter with death after his McLaren F1 supercar met with an accident.
The 6,50,000 pound supercar spun thrice before running into a tree and then a lamppost.
"The prang was embarrassingly low-speed and therefore not related to my handling of the car, thank God," the Sun quoted Atkinson as saying.
"I was very, very lucky," he added.
The 'Mr. Bean' car nut tousled out of the car and was being taken care of by another driver's car when the emergency crews arrived to his rescue.
"It's a miracle that he managed to walk away from the crash. He's a very lucky man," a source said.
"The car was a wreck, really badly damaged. Rowan must be absolutely gutted," he added.
The accident took place on the A605, near Haddon, Cambridgeshire, and the 'Blackadder' legend was taken to Peterborough City Hospital for treating a minor shoulder injury. (ANI)
