Pachul (Jammu and Kashmir), Aug 4 (ANI): The exchange of fire between the militants and the security personnel continued for the second consecutive day in Pachul village of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama District on Thursday.
According to police sources, two militants are still trapped inside the building.
Acting on a tip off, the police and army personnel cordoned off the area on Wednesday night and asked the militants to surrender.
However, the militants retaliated by opening fire on the army and the police officials.
"Since yesterday there has been firing going on, it is still continuing and we don't know what is happening. The firing has been going on for almost four to five hours, we don't know what's happening," said Shahnawaz Ahmad, a local.
The militants are suspected to belong to the extremist Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terror outfit. (ANI)
