Colombo, Aug 2(ANI): Sri Lankan captain Tillakaratne Dilshan has said that his team would go into next month's three-match Test against an 'inexperienced' Australian team with no fear.
Australia have only lost one Test in their 20 clashes with Sri Lanka and dominated the previous tour to the island nation in 2004.
However, having witnessed Australia's struggles in India last year and during the Ashes, Dilshan sees a great chance for his team to finally turn the tables.
"I believe that we have a very good opportunity this time around," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Dilshan, as saying.
"We will be playing in conditions that are familiar to us and they are inexperienced as well. But, all told, we still have to play really well," he added.
The opening batsman further reckons that the key to beat the Australians is to be competitive in every session.
"The key when you are playing Australia is to remember that it is not over until you have sealed the game," Dilshan said.
"The Australians are a bunch who fight till the last moment," he added. he Test series, which starts at Galle on August 31, will follow two Twenty20 internationals and a five-match ODI series. (ANI)
