New Delhi, July 26 (ANI): Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and her Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir had very cordial and positive discussions here on Tuesday during which they reviewed the progress in talks between different ministries and organizations of the two countries in the preceding months.
"The Foreign Secretary of India Nirupama Rao and the Foreign Secretary of Pakistan Salman Bashir, had very cordial and positive discussions today in New Delhi. They reviewed the progress in talks between different Ministries and organizations, of the two countries in the preceding months," said Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson Vishnu Prakash in response to a question.
"The Foreign Secretaries of India and Pakistan, would be briefing the External Affairs Minister of India and the Foreign Minister of Pakistan respectively, of their discussions. The Two Ministers are scheduled to hold a meeting tomorrow in New Delhi," he added.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Kher, who arrived here this afternoon, is expected to meet the separatist leaders.
Building on the official-level talks, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna and Hina Rabbani Kher will meet in New Delhi on Wednesday to discuss all aspects of the bilateral relations, particularly focusing on issues like terrorism, Jammu and Kashmir, trade and promotion of bilateral exchanges.
