Islamabad, July 10(ANI): The Al Qaeda-linked terrorist organisation, Harakat-ul-Jihad al-Islami (HuJI), has warned Pakistan against sharing information about it with India, according to police sources.
In a handwritten Urdu letter addressed to Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir, HuJI warned the Foreign Office to stop Pakistan's High Commission in New Delhi from sharing details about the group with the Indian Government, the Dawn quoted sources, as saying.
HuJI threatened it would carry out attacks on the Foreign Office, Foreign Secretary Bashir, Pakistan's High Commission in Delhi and High Commissioner Shahid Malik, if its demands were not met.
According to sources, police officers analysed the letter sent a few days ago to Bashir's residence in Islamabad, and confirmed that it had been sent by the terrorist group and was mailed from within Islamabad.
A team of police commandos has been deployed at Bashir's residence and he has been provided police protection, while strict vigilance has been mounted around the Foreign Office. (ANI)
