Dimapur, July 7 (ANI): "Right Vision", the community education centre, in Dimapur is providing free of cost education to hundreds of underprivileged children.
The school began operations in 1999 under the shade of a tree with five or six street children. It is now located at Grace Colony in Dimapur and has 13 teaching and non-teaching staff.
The enrollment figure for students has crossed 350 up to the 8th standard. The school caters not only to children from around the locality, but also to those who live in far off villages.
"Our mission is to make these children avail free education and to educate them so that they can become a better citizen. We want every child to receive education, to have education," said Supong, Director of the school.
" It is a great privilege for me to deal with all these students. We not only teach here but we visit the houses of these children, collect their family profiles and do case study on them," said Seun, a staff.
The popularity of the school is growing in the suburbs of the Dimapur and more and more children are coming forward to study in the school. My family is not well off and my parents cannot send me to a private school. So I am studying in this school. Here I am getting free education. I am very happy here," said Jittu, a student.
"My parents are farmers. And we don't have a school in our village that's why I come here to study. Here I'm getting free education and I am very happy," said Chupeou, another student (ANI)
