Munger (Bihar), July 2 (ANI): Suspected Maoists shot dead around six villagers including tribals in Bihar's Munger District on Saturday morning.
According to reports, the Maoists, who were equipped with sophisticated weapons attacked village Karaili under Dharhara police station around 5 a.m. today.
Bihar Deputy General of Police (DGP) Neelmani said the rebels, who posed themselves as personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) came into two vehicles, and shot dead the tribals belonging to the Korha group.
It has been reported that police personnel led by Superintendent of Police (SP) P. Kanan have reached the spot and have launched a combing operation in the jungles to track down the Maoists. (ANI)
