Aditya back in direction with Rab ne Bana di Jodi

New Delhi, Sat, 02 Feb 2008 NI Wire

The director of “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” Aditya Chopra back again to his profession eight years after his last directorial venture “Mohabbatein”.

Reportedly Aditya Chopra is set to direct another love story with none other than Shahrukh Khan and under the banner of Yash Raj Films.

The director who started an excellent career with DDLJ left film direction to set up a modern studio and the most well known production house of India Yash Raj Films.

Back to the film that he is going to direct is titled “Rab ne Bana di Jodi”. The female lead of the movie is yet to finalise but one can guess the combination of Chopra and khan, which is enough to create huge euphoria among the film buffs.

Apart from directing the film, Aditya will also write the story of the film by himself and as per the sources the shooting of the film will commence somewhere in May and the production house is planning to release the film by the end of 2008.

Yashraj film over the years has produced some of the best and commercially viable films including Dhoom, Dhoom-2, Bunty Aur Babli, Salaam Namaste, Fanaa and Chak De India.

In the year 2007, only ‘Chak De India’ was the only film that comes as one of the biggest hit and other two films produced under the banner “Laaga Chunari Mein Daag” directed by Pradeep Sarkar and “Aaja Nachle” – the comeback film of Madhuri Dixit only managed to do average business.

In the upcoming films “Tashan” by Vijay Krishna Acharya is scheduled for release on April and Roadside Romeo: in co-production with Walt Disney Pictures will be released somewhere in summer.
