London, June 22 (ANI): Manchester City is trying to wrestle Alexis Sanchez from the grasp of Barcelona last night.
According to The Sun, City officials had talks with Udinese in a bid to land the Chilean attacker, who is one of boss Roberto Mancini's top targets.
Barcelona has offered around 30-million-pounds plus their Spanish Under-21 forward Jeffren Suarez.
Udinese's Spanish representative Quique Pina said: "Barcelona just have to iron out a few details but it's 80 per cent done."
City, though, have not given up hope and are ready to top Barca's offer both for the player and his wage packet.
Mancini told City's board to go for Sanchez as far back as April. (ANI)
