Mumbai/Jaipur, May 17 (ANI): Rajasthan Cricket Association secretary Sanjay Dixit and Rajasthan Royals skipper Shane Warne have been asked by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to appear before it in Mumbai on Tuesday to discuss and resolve their spat regarding the pitch at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Dixit and Warne have been at loggerheads over the last few days for reasons ranging from pitch to pitch fixing.
Chirayu Amin, the chairman of the governing council of the Indian Premier League, has called for a hearing following a complaint lodged by Dixit, who has alleged that Warne publicly abused him.
Warne is alleged to have blamed Dixit for not providing the pitch that would have suited the home team in their game against the Mumbai Indians.
Warne has since apologised for publicly insulting Dixit following an internal disciplinary inquiry by the franchise.
Rajasthan Royals' Chief Executive Sean Morris had said in a e-mail to Dixit that the franchise had decided to take disciplinary action against Warne and the Australian spin wizard had accepted it.
But that explanation hasn't worked with the RCA planning to file a criminal complaint against Warne. (ANI)
