Guwahati, May 7 (ANI): Northeast, which has over the years produced many talents, has added another feather to its cap through, Anubhuti Gohain Boruah, who has been recently awarded the 'Humans in Space Symposium' Youth Art Competition Award organised by NASA-Johnson Space Centre, USA.
Anubhuti from Assam has been awarded the second place in the Literary sub-genre (age group 14-17) for her short story "A Holiday In Mars."
Anubhuti stood second at a story writing competition organized by National Aeronautics and Space Academy.
The tenth class student from Maria's Public School in Guwahati wrote an essay on "A Holiday in Mars". Her essay was selected from 550 entries all over the world and the announcement of the award was made at the opening ceremony of Humans in space symposium.
"I never thought that I would win the award. I did not participate with the aim of winning it. When the results were announced I was busy watching Assam elections. My mother informed me about the results and I was shocked," said Anubhuti.
Writing is a passion for Anubhuti. It is something that she wants to pursue as a hobby. However she wants to become an Indian Administrative Officer. Her family is extremely supportive and is extremely proud of her.
"I feel very proud for Anubhuti. I have always told her that the sky is the limit for your achievement. This is just her beginning and there is a lot more to come in the future," said Durba Ghosh, Anubhuti's mother. (ANI)
