Ranchi, May 3 (ANI): At least five security personnel were killed and over 31 others injured after Maoists struck in two different districts of Jharkhand on Tuesday.
According to reports, the injured are still being brought to different hospitals in Ranchi, Lohardaga and Bokaro.
The first encounter took place between two battalions of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Maoists at two spots in Balthrwa jungle of the Jhumra hill of Bokaro district, in which CRPF Assistant Commandant J P Yadav was injured.
The second incident took place at Dhardhariya village in Jharkhand's Lohardaga district, where the ultras opened fire on the security personnel after triggering a long land mine blast. At least two CRPF personnel and two Jharkhand police officers lost their lives in this incident. (ANI)
