Missing Army chopper found in Sikkim

Gangtok, Apr 22 (ANI): The Advance Light Helicopter 'Dhruv' of Army Aviation Corps that went missing in Sikkim on Thursday was found in pieces today.

 

All four passengers including two pilots and two jawans are reported to be dead.

 

The helicopter, which had taken off from the Sewak Road Base in Siliguri in West Bengal at 10: 30 a.m., from where the Army conducts its routine training exercise to Sikkim's borders with China, lost radio contact around 11.30 am.

 

The Army personnel launched a massive search operation in the area, which was later postponed due to bad weather. (ANI)
