Kathmandu, Apr 21 (ANI): External Affairs Minister S.M Krishna, who is in Nepal on a three-day official visit, held separate parleys with President Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal and Deputy Prime Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari here.
His meetings dwelt mainly on Nepal's peace process, Constitution-drafting, border security and Indian economic assistance to Nepal.
Krishna also invited Khanal to India.
"I discussed the issue of peace and Constitution with the Prime Minister. The main responsibility for these rests on the Prime Minister," he told reporters after the meeting with Khanal.
He further said: "Khanal referred to the relation between Nepal and India as one of the unique relationships. The relationship has been cemented from the high level visits from both the sides."
He also said that India wants to bolster ties with Nepal by contributing to stability, democracy and economic prosperity of Nepal.
According to Khanal's Foreign Affairs Advisor Milan Tuladhar, Krishna also raised India's security concerns vis-à-vis cross border movements.
Krishna formally invited Khanal to India while Khanal mentioned that Nepal government was also willing to host Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh in Kathmandu, Nepalnews quoted, Tuladhar as saying.
Krishna also called on President Yadav at the latter's office, Shital Niwas.
He is scheduled to meet Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda today.
He also scheduled to visit Birgunj to lay the foundation stone of the Terai Roads Project and of the Integrated Check Post, which are being constructed with Indian cooperation.
This is Krishna's second visit to Nepal after becoming External Affairs Minister.

The visit, which was initially planned in March soon after Khanal was sworn in, was postponed due to the delay in the formation of Nepal Cabinet. (ANI)
