London, March 26 (ANI): Actress Julie Walters received the Best Actress prize at the Broadcasting Press Guild Awards.
The 'Mamma Mia!' star saw off competition from dame Maggie Smith and Helena Bonham carter to take the award, reports the Daily Star.
She was handed the trophy for her role as Northern Ireland politician Mo Mowlam in TV biopic 'Mo', which aired last year.
The awards - which are voted for by journalists - also feted Julian Fellowes' hit TV series 'Downton Abbey', which was named Best Drama, while Benedict Cumberbatch was voted Best Actor for Sherlock.
The trophies were presented in a ceremony at London's Theatre Royal, Drury Lane on Friday. (ANI)
