Tom Brady to mow lawn in place of Tiger Woods in economics textbook

Washington, Mar 24 (ANI): Professional golfer Tiger Woods has been replaced by football quarterback Tom Brady in a new version of a widely-used economics textbook.

Woods, 35, will no longer be used as an example to explain economic theory in the 'Principles of Economics' textbook, after Brady, 33, was chosen to take his place.

According to the Harvard Crimson, previous editions of the textbook used an example entitled, "Should Tiger Woods Mow His Own Lawn?" The sixth edition of the book replaced the previous example with one featuring quarterback Brady.

"From my perspective, this was a relatively small change," ABC News quoted the book's author, Harvard economist Greg Mankiw as explaining the decision.

"Why did I make it? I wanted students to focus on the economics of comparative advantage-the main point of this section of the book.

"I was afraid that keeping Tiger Woods in the hypothetical example would have raised thoughts of an altogether different set of issues," he said.

Mankiw told the Harvard Crimson that he and his editor chose New England Patriots quarterback Brady because he was another celebrity athlete. (ANI)
