London, Mar 24(ANI): An extradition hearing of the case involving Shrien Dewani, the Brit-Indian millionaire charged with murdering his wife during their honeymoon in Cape Town last year, is set to hear from two South African criminal justice experts.
According to the BBC, City of Westminster Magistrates' Court was told the two experts would give evidence via video link.
The full extradition hearing, set for May 3-5, is due to take place at Belmarsh Magistrates' Court.
Twenty-eight-year-old Anni was killed on November 13 last year after the taxi she and her husband were travelling in was hijacked as it passed through the Gugulethu township on the outskirts of Cape Town.
Two South Africans have been arrested, with the couple's taxi driver Zola Tongo sentenced to 18 years for his part in the killing.
Dewani has been denying all charges against him, claiming that South African authorities have victimised him in a bid to conceal their country's sky-high crime rate, and safeguard their tourism industry.
He remains subject to 250,000 pounds bail and the requirement he reports daily to a local police station.
Speaking outside court, Dewani's brother Preyen confirmed that the 31-year-old was still tagged and under strict bail conditions after being admitted to the Priory Hospital. (ANI)
