Melbourne, Mar 22 (ANI): A plane was forced to land at Brisbane Airport, and the cause for it was blamed on green caterpillars that had got into the aircraft's pressure-sensitive instruments.
According to the Courier-Mail, an aviation report lodged with the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) government investigation body showed the 20-seater Dornier-Werke plane experienced problems with onboard equipment after taking off from Brisbane Airport in Queensland on January 27.
The plane was about 46km from the airport and landed there safely without injury to anyone on board, News.com.au reported.
An engineering inspection found several green caterpillars in the pressure-sensitive instruments.
An ATSB spokesman said the incident would not be further investigated for financial reasons. (ANI)
