Body of Naxal found during Dantewada search operation

Dantewada, Mar 15 (ANI): Security forces found the body of a Naxal during a search operation in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, where a fierce encounter with the Naxals took place on Monday.

"We have found the body of a Naxal in battle fatigues. The scene of the encounter has a lot of blood marks and has indications that bodies have been pulled away by the Maoists," said Additional Director General (Naxal operations) Ram Niwas.

"Combing operations are on and the Naxals, after the encounter, may not have gone very far. The operation is continuing," he added.

Earlier on Monday, the police claimed to have shot dead 30 Naxals during an encounter with the Naxals.

At least three security personnel were killed and seven others injured in an encounter between the Naxals and the security forces in the Morpalli forests of Chhattisgarh's Dantewada District on Monday. (ANI)
