Mumbai, Thu, 10 Mar 2011 ANI

Mumbai, Mar 10(ANI): Security has beefed up in and around Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, following inputs from Intelligence Bureau (IB) about possible terror attacks.

The Intelligence Bureau has issued advisories to state governments and police after it intercepted LeT messages discussing dates and timings of the matches being played in India.

Home Secretary, G K Pillai, has asked police chiefs of the states hosting cricket matches to be on constant vigil.

The Indian Coast Guard along with the coastal periphery has also been asked to be on constant vigil to prevent any infiltration by the sea route.

Wankhede Stadium will host the final of the Cricket World Cup on April 2. (ANI)
