PM Modi today inaugurated Ram temple in Ayodhya in a grand religious ceremony. PM Modi unveils the eyes of Ram Lalla in the newly built Ram Temple in Ayodhya. PM Modi was accompanied by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and others during the ceremony.
The rituals of ‘pran-pratishtha’ and opening of the Ramp Temple completed today in Ayodhya. The Ram Temple in Ayodhya will be open for the public from 23rd January. The “ Pran Pratishtha” ceremony started at 12.20 p.m. and after the completion of the program, Mr. Modi addressed a gathering of more than 7,000 people. During his speech PM Modi said “Today, our Ram has arrived. After a long wait for ages, our Ram has arrived.” PM Modi further added “Our Ram Lalla will no longer live in a tent. Our Ram Lalla will stay in a magnificent temple.”
The consecration ceremony was held today after the first phase of Ram temple construction. The construction of the Ram temple was made possible after the verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit. The Supreme Court judgment in 2019 paved the way for the construction of Ram at the birthplace of Lord Ram.
RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took part in the puja with PM Modi. During the historic ceremony in Ayodhya 1000’s of people were invited. The historic Ram Lala Pran Pratishtha ceremony witnessed spiritual and religious sects of the country. The representatives of various tribal communities also took part in the ceremony.
The ‘pran-pratishtha’ ceremony is a vedic ritual which is followed by the Hindus. During the grand program the idol of Ram Lalla was consecrated with full vedic rituals. The eyes of Ram Lala idol were unveiled by following the vedic rituals.
Indian Air Force (IAF) choppers were used to shower flowers over Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple premises in Ayodhya during the religious procession. During the grand ceremony people were changing “Jai Shri Ram”.
For the grand opening of Ram temple over 8,000 guests were also invited at the temple in Ayodhya. In Hinduism, Ayodhya is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ram.
The Ram is constructed after 500 years of long quest for a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The historic consecration of the 51-inch-tall new Ram Lalla idol at Ayodhya temple is a significant moment in the history.
