Union Minister Prakash Javadekar tested Covid-19 positive

Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar tested positive for the Coronavirus. Minister request other peoples who came in his contact in past 2-3  days should get tested for the coronavirus.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar posted the message on this twitter account. In the message minister said "I have tested #COVID positive today. All those who have come in contact with me in the last 2-3 days may please get themselves tested."

The Union Minister took his first dose of coronavirus vaccine last month at a Pune Hospital.

Over 200,739 Covid-19 new cases were reported on Thursday and today 217353 per day cases are reported. Last week India replaced Brazil in per day cases and became second worst affected natation due to Covid-19 infection.

The active cases in India crossed 15 lakh mark and the death toll increased to 1,74,308. Situation due to Covid-19 cases are very grim and there are lot of pressure on the medical system. The second wave of Covid-19 infection is becoming severe than the first wave in the country.

In India over 174,335 people died due to the deadly Covid-19 infection. Maharashtra is worst affected state in the county which reported 61,695 new coronavirus cases and 349 deaths in past 24 hours. Maharashtra state government imposed strict restrictions in the state to stop the Covid-19 infection chain.

Delhi is another worst affected city in the country which reported 16,699 new Covid-19 cases and 112 deaths due to Covid-19 on Thursday. Strick weekend lockdown will be imposed in Delhi to stop further spread of virus.

The active cases in the Country is 15,69,743, while Five states (Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, UP, Karnataka and Kerala) accounts for the 67.16 percent of total cases. Delhi is fast becoming Hub for large number of Covid-19 cases.
