The Asus Max line up of smartphones is about to welcome a new member with ZenFone 3s Max (ZC521TL). The launch price and availability of this new model by the leading smartphone manufacturers has not been announced, but it is about to get launched on February 7 next week. It is expected that the phone can be availed through both online and offline channels.
The Taiwanese company has decided to lend some of the nicest features in its upcoming release, to fill the misses that were felt in the predecessors. The aluminium all metal encasing of the 175 g device packs a superb 5000 mAh battery inside. To add to it there are many extraordinary features like GameGenie, ZenMotion Touch Gesture, and multiple window mode enablement. Not only this, but the ZenFone 3s Max also boasts of supporting up to 5 fingers recognition and an unlocking capability of 0.5 seconds. The 8.85 mm slim device will be available in Gold and Black variants.
The phone sports a 5.2-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and 2.5 D contoured edge. Although it is less bright than its contemporaries that have 1080p resolution, it is just fine for normal use. The screen to body ratio of the handset is 75 per cent which means that it is designed with a thinner bezel. The fingerprint reader is front-mounted, embedded in the home button while to the right side, are the power button and volume rocker. There is a hybrid card slot to the left and the mono speaker lies at the bottom. The built-in blue light filter and on-screen navigation keys are some other mentionable features.
In terms of optics, ZenFone 3s Max has an 8-MP selfie shooter and a 13-MP rear snapper with PDAF, Dual-LED real-tone flash, 5P Largan Lens and f/2.0 aperture. There is manual setting for changing the camera to different modes like Super resolution, Beautification mode, Backlight HDR mode, etc.
The upcoming model from Asus uses ZenUI 3.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. It is powered by MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz, coupled with Mali T860 GPU. It comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB Internal Storage option, the latter being expandable up to a whopping 2TB via microSD card.
Asus ZenFone 3s Max promises to deliver 28 hours talk-time on 3G, 25 hours web-browsing over Wi-Fi and up to 34 days of 4G standby time on single charge. This is perhaps the best part of this smartphone. The VoLTE- enabled device also supports reverse charging, which means it can charge other gadgets as well, like a portable charger. However, the phone does not come with fast charging option.
