Samsung Officially Announces Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 as its 2017 Additions to the A-Series.
Putting an end to various speculations surrounding their 2017 A-series, Samsung finally has gone ahead to launch of three new phones – Galaxy A7, A5 and A3. The announcement was made on Monday on the global press site of Samsung ahead of CES 2017. Although at first there was no hint about the pricing of the phones, the South Korean Giant later clarified the same atleast for the Euro-zone. However, there was no mention about the cost and availability of Galaxy A7, which implies that the model would probably not make it to the European markets for now.
Galaxy A5 will be available at a retail price of EUR 429 (INR 30, 480 approx.) while the cheapest in the series A3 will be priced at EUR 329 (INR 23, 370 approx.) The smartphones will start selling in Russia from early January and will be made available in Western European Markets by early February. There was no word regarding their obtainment in the Asia and other parts of the globe.
Samsung, a leading smartphone manufacturing company, boasts that the trio of the 2017 A-series have highly advanced cameras compared to their competitors and predecessors. The trio pack easily usable camera interface, wide aperture lens and provide great quality images even in low-light conditions. The 7.9 mm thick devices are IP68 dust and water resistant along with being designed like premium phones with metal and 3D glass. They run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and have many other common but distinct features like – expandable storage upto 256 GB via microSD card, reversible USB Type-C Port, Home button embedded with fingerprint scanner, Always on Display (enabling users to peek into time and date without waking the phones) and support for fast charge.
The latest low cost additions in the Galaxy A-series also support a feature called Samsung Pay that ensures more secured transactions to the users through Near Field Communication (NFC), Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) technologies. Also, users can backup their data and images privately with Samsung Cloud feature which can be safeguarded through biometric lock. The handsets will be available in hues of Black Sky, Peach Cloud, Blue Mist and Gold Sand.
