The official unveiling of two new phones in Micromax Vdeo series took place after making their presence felt on the company's website earlier this week. Known as Vdeo 3 and Vdeo 4, the 4G VoLTE enabled phones are based on Android OS v6.0 Marshmallow and use Reliance Jio SIM cards, just like their predecessors which came out in December 2016. Like earlier models in the series, they also have Video Calling as their main focus area and have pre-installed Google Duo app to support that.
Vdeo 3: This Dual SIM phone has a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280x720 pixels resolution. It sports a 2-megapixel front and 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash. Housing a 2000 mAh battery, Vdeo 3 is powered by an unspecified Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It offers storage options of 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. It is priced at Rs. 5,749 for the Indian markets and is quite affordable.
Vdeo 4: Set to be sold at a slightly higher price of Rs. 6,249, this model of the Vdeo series runs on 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC paired with Adreno 304 GPU. The Primary LED camera of 8-megapixel is slightly improved than Vdeo 3, while the 2-megapixel selfie snapper remains. In terms of memory, the dual SIM handset has the same 1GB RAM/ 8 GB built-in storage (expandable up to 32 GB). It packs a high power 4000 mAh battery and consists of sensors viz. Ambient Light sensor, Gravity Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.
FM Radio finds place in both Vdeo 3 and 4, for the love of music. A 3.5 mm audio jack is also embedded in the two phones. Apart from 4G VoLTE support, the common connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Both Micromax devices are encased in brushed metal back covers and have Corning Gorilla Glass for shatter-free experience.
