Making an entry into the midrange smartphone market segment, Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro has finally ended the buzz that surrounded its launch. It will be available for advance booking by the Chinese consumers from today onwards. The phone has been listed on the on the Chinese website of the South Korean Giant and although its price is still not specified, the estimation is pitched around $199. Whether and when it will be rolled out in the other regions, was not mentioned.
The phone’s appearance had been leaked along with its specifications earlier on the AnTuTu Benchmark, Geekbench 4 and TENNA, the popular smartphone ranking websites. Last week, a promotional image featuring Galaxy C7 Pro alongside the other phone C5 Pro and already released C9 Pro was posted on Twitter by a Chinese user. Now that the model is out, the leaked features of the phone seem quite true. Measuring 156.5x77.2x7.0 mm and weighing 172 grams, the all-metal encased handset is packed with an outstanding 16- megapixel snapper both in the front and rear. The cameras have f/1.9 aperture, and can video-record at the speed of 30 frames per second in full-HD. The rear camera is positioned towards the top centre with dual-LED (dual tone) flash in the right. There are two sets of three lines running at the top and bottom of the back of the phone, which would function as antennas.
There are multiple colour options for Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro viz. Maple Leaf Gold, Rose Pink and Arctic Blue. The device sports a 5.7 inch AMOLED display which has a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. A front-mounted fingerprint sensor is embedded within the home button of the handset. It is loaded with a decent 33000 mAh battery and is powered by Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 clocked at 2.2 GHz. Running on octa-core Cortex –A53 CPU and Adreno 506 GPU, the handset has dual SIM slots, of which the second supports microSD SIM. It boasts of 4 GB RAM and 64 GB inbuilt storage space (50.9 GB for users) and later can be expanded up to 256 GB. The phone is Always-On Display, Samsung Pay enabled and uses Android OS v6.0.1 Marshmallow as the operating platform.
