Though we still don't have the release date for Apple's new iPhone 7, but rumors have been hinting at the device getting releases around September 6 or 7.
This is the time of the year when Apple usually is known to release its coveted smartphones. However, it's quite strange that the software giant has yet not shared any details about the launch of iPhone 7. Over the past few days, we have been only coming across anticipated features and specifications of iPhone 7 and its premium version, the iPhone 7 Plus.
Well, we don't know as to when the two smartphones will hit the world market. But whenever they do, they will for sure compete with Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 and with the two, one can surely expect a big clash.
Samsung Note 7 vs Apple iPhone 7
As told, Apple is to release two models of its latest iPhone - the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The former will have 4.7-inch screen while the latter will come with 5.5-inch screen and dual cameras. The two models will be sharing some more specifications, such as the presence of a lightning jack, A10 chip, iOS 10 OS, 3GB RAM, and camera with OIS i.e. optical image stabilization.
Now, news has it that Apple followers may not really be happy with these upgrades. This is mainly because there are no major changes in the flagships. There is no compelling factor that can encourage users to bid for this device.
And on the other hand, users already have a choice with Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which was released recently. However, the Note 7 devices have been halted from sale as the battery of the device was reported to be catching fire. The scenario has become quite catchy given the fact that Samsung's highly anticipated device is on hold, and iPhone 7 updates have not really impressed the users.
Furthermore, Samsung is working on solving the battery issue with iPhone 7 and once that's done, the device would be back for sale. And the features of Note 7 are pretty better than that of the new iPhones. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has iris scanner, boasting 518 ppi pixel density, high-quality support for virtual reality (VR) gears, as well as the waterproof feature.
On the other hand, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will not have the iris scanner and are expected to be devoid of the waterproofing feature too. Moving on, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 comes with 5.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 1,440x2,560 pixels (518 ppi pixel density), and comes powered by an Exynos 8890 processor. It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS and has 64GB internal memory which is expandable up to 256GB through microSD card. The device has 4GB RAM, 12MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture, phase detection autofocus, 26mm lens, OIS, LED flash, 1.4 µm pixel size, and 1/2.5" sensor size. For selfies it has 5MP front-snapper with f/1.7 aperture and 22mm lens, and a 3,500mAh battery.
The details of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus as revealed so far are very limited but whatever new upgrades have been reported are not much pleasing.
So, will this help Samsung Galaxy Note 7 take an edge over iPhone 7? Let us see what happens in this clash of titans and which one emerges out to be the favorite of all!
